I’m Chelsea, founder of SeaChel Coaching.

Before I start on my story, just know that it’s a story of triumph and the power of resilience.

After joining the food service industry at the age of 19, I quickly adapted to the heat and was able to get my first promotion within a year! From there I spent the last decade perfecting my leadership skills and developing staff to leadership roles as well.

Through this development of my leadership skills, I gathered the strength and resources to leave an abusive situation of seven years in 2019.

After the lockdowns started in 2020, I lost my apartment and took what resources I still had to my parents' house in Idaho. Within two weeks of being there I was able to get a job as a cook at a Greek restaurant. Within three months I got promoted to Assistant Kitchen Manager, and a year later I was running the location.

In 2021, I was able to lead a team to winning two awards from the State of Idaho for the overall restaurant service and food quality.

In 2022, I decided to get sober once and for all from all the “party drugs” I was taking. This lead to some hard decisions about my social group and work environment. After having my boundaries tested one to many times, I decided to change my focus from career to my personal life. I got engaged and quit my job to build our partnership while getting my Life and Health Coaching Certifications. Of course, this break from work was only temporary. I did use the next few months as an opportunity to take a break from food service and from management, though I would end up missing both.

After a year of engagement and a miscarriage, my partner and I separated. I returned to my home state of Washington and withing 3 weeks was able to get a management position at a high-volume restaurant/sports bar.

Returning home also gave me the space to go through my own personal development journey, seek out therapy, and transform my own ways of thinking. This has opened doors for me that I never thought possible. I've been featured in an online magazine, become international accredited as a coach, and gotten to learn under some remarkable women in the industry all within the last year!!

My story is far from over and I can't wait to see what I accomplish next!
